Welcome Back Raptor Researchers!

Tropical Audubon Society, along with our co-sponsor organizations, is delighted to host RRF’s first post-pandemic, in-person meeting in beautiful South Florida!

So, who’s ready for 80˚ weather, beaches, rustling palms, and adding a few new species to your life lists?

South Florida hosts unique species and ecosystems found nowhere else in North America. Our slate of field trips will introduce you to coral reefs, sawgrass prairies, tropical hardwood hammocks, and a surprising array of urban wildlife living within one of the country’s most densely populated metropolitan areas. This wealth of incredible natural treasures inspires a large, active, knowledgeable, and dedicated cohort of environmental activists, hobbyists, and citizen scientists — many of whom have helped bring this conference to life.

Tropical Audubon is especially proud to co-host this conference with the Florida Ornithological Society. We are excited to welcome birders from across the Sunshine State and raptor researchers from around the world. South Floridians are as diverse and inspiring as our natural landscapes. It’s our hope that you come away from this conference inspired to return, like the many avian migrants you may encounter during your stay.

We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful region during the dynamic fall migration season. Be sure to pack your binoculars!
